MM8 - Donation at all temples?

Do you actually get anything for donating at every temple in the game in MM8? When I donated at all of them, I heard a really weird sound, sort of thunderous music, but I didn't notice anything actually happen. Does anyone know what good it does to donate at all of them?

Anyone who knows what good it does in MM6 or MM7 is invited to reply, as well... maybe it's the same.

IIRC donation in temples can get you Bless spell (per character) or Protection from Magic spell (master level). Probably another spells too, but I don't remember that.

And you don't have to donate in all temples - one temple is enough. Only in MM3 (as far as I know) donating in all temples give you a reward.

I think the spell your Heroes get from donating sometimes is Hour of Power because you get Bless, Speed, and Haste. After a while, when the spell wears off, your party will become weak from having the Haste spell cast on them.

in might and magic 6, donate tons, and you get a spell, which wont let u die of any wounds, and it lasts fer days!
