Favorite Artifact (another non-poll)
Favorite Artifact (another non-poll)
Even if it is not the most powerful, or the most common, what is your favorite Artifact? Can be any artifact found in the HoMM's (1-5:hof) can even be those combo artifacts. Another non-poll brought to you by a chaotic mind...
Warning, may cause confusion, blindness, raising of eybrows, and insanity.

The Tome of Water Magic.
That is the ultimate artifact! (ok, perhaps I'm a bit biased... ).
My love of water (at least in RPGs) goes way back, but that's a topic for another thread.

Actually by the time you get to assemble that artifact, you are probably so high level and armies are so big that 600 damage lightening bolt is a pretty poor option for using your spell turn. Unless you really are in trouble and out of spell points.EliteKill wrote:Titan's Thunder.
I just like everything about Titans and that is the ultimate Titan artifact I also like the spell it gives (600 damage with no mana... pretty good)

I have to choose the Ring of Health from Heroes 4, which gives your Hero an increase in hit points of 50%. This can really help low level Heroes make it through battles.
But then there is the Heroes 4 Tiger Armor, Tiger Helm & Frost Hammer Combination Artifacts, which if all are equipped by your Hero, give the Regeneration ability and Dragon Strength too. These are probably the most powerful combination artifacts in Heroes 4.

ring of greater negation in heroes 4, it's probably the most powerful artifact, you can even use mind related spells on living deads!
oh yeah, and the ultimate staff in heroes 2, it was so awesome, when you had lots of them, your spells dealt negative damages.
I remember I attacked some peasants with a band of pixies, several dwarves, elves and druids, and when I casted magic arrow on them, it created like 2000 more peasant!! I had a hard time beating all of them.

From heroes 3: the speed cloak on Sir Mullich.... if not the Cloak of the Undead King... that thing was sick
From heroes 4: can't really decide between the Frizbin of Mifortune and the Halberd of the Swiftwatch(still one goes well for chaos-magic heroes(my favorites) and the other for melee oriented ones)
From Heroes 5: I like the boots that add +1 movement. It's a shame that they come in conflicts with the boots of travel and with those who boost earth spells. Another obvious choice would be the armor of the forgotten hero.

In HOMM...
Ultimate Wand of Magic
I also liked the look of the Mage's Ring of Power (SP+2)
Plus the Nomad boots and the Compass of Mobility
From HOMM2...
Battle Garb of Anduran (and obtaining the three items to create it)
and the Golden Goose (looked cool)
HOMM3
Celestial Necklace of Bliss
Tunic of the Cyclops King
Any Dragon Scale items
HOMM4
Robe of the Guardian
Almost every shield... and Unnatural Armor and Shield
Plus I liked most of the Gathering Storm artifacts (except the silly mandolin)
