Heroes: Directors Cut

Unread postby MistWeaver » 27 Dec 2006, 17:24

In honour of its 10th anniversary, Nival Interactive and Heroes of Might and Magic V team have presented a special HMM5 scenario "Heroes: Directors Cut"

"This anniversary scenario will take you into the journey to castle Nivalia, which suspiciosly looks like Nival's office. Youll have to play as a project leader, responsible for accomplishment of the errand of state importance. Using the given budget you'll have to fulfil the task in time."

The file that has to be put in your Maps folder is called Nival10.off. Run Nival10_On.bat and it'll transform into the standard .h5m. Don't know why this was necessary, but there it is.

Well, both the map and the textfile accompanying it are in Russian, which I don't understand. I can read Cyrillic, however, and I thought I caught Fabrice's name in there somewhere.

Some of the cutscenes were fun to listen to: "I-go-go!" :D

Nice idea! Send word to the translators already!
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Well now at least we know what Nival is spending time on.

The movies and the animations and the portrets in the map took some time I think, but creating a female model for the heroes in game takes months TO CREATE.

Sure but many more are unhappy because Nival doesn't.

Let me guess, the real objective of the game is to getting totally drunk with vodka and trick ubi that you are actually working hard...

When an English version is ready I'll download it. It appears to be rather large for one scenario but I'll reserve my judgement as to whether the effort should have been directed eleswhere until then.

GOW
Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

Just noticed why it has a off/on switch.

WHEN PLAYING OTHER MAPS USE THE OFF SWITCH BEFORE DOING SO.

THE MAP IS ALSO A MOD THAT MODIFIES CREATURE NAMES!
