To celebrate his new railroad game, Sid Meier has made Railroad Tycoon Deluxe available for free downloads.

I just loved this game -- part strategy, part toys.

I thought about picking the new game up, but I can't see how it's all that different from RailRoad Tycoon 3. Graphically, it looks very similar and the feature list doesn't look all that different.

Do you know of any new goodies/features that come with the latest game?

All I've heard is that there is more emphasis on finance and commodities.
