Monks or Split Marksmen?

Unread postby The Mad Dragon » 07 Nov 2006, 19:43

I was wondering. Would it be better to have both Marksmen and Monks, or to just split up the Marksmen into two stacks when they reach high numbers?

Why don't you then use theme both? You have 7 slots, 1 for every level of unit. Mixing aligments is bad for morale. Also, spliting marksmen of puting monks depends on their size.

I usually don't mix alignment. And since all 7 are used up, I was wondering which would be better to use.

How can they be used up? Did you try to visit some hillfort to upgrade your units?

Halberdier, Crusader, Marksmen, Champion, Royal Griffin, Zealot and Angel.

That makes 7.

Why don't you upgrade monks into zealoth then? It is obvious you have acces to theme.

If you really want to split the marksmen, ditch the halberdiers.
I wouldn't bother though, as Marksmen suffer large attrition through the game- they're a prime target of castle turrets and the like.

I concur, and I'll add that I prefer to drop the Halberdiers and split the Archangels instead for the Resurrection.

NO,no No Spliting. The marksmens are good into large numbers or with Expert Archery and maybe Valeska for hero(Think she was with the archers) :).And for the zealots-For good Damage minimum 30 of them and 150 Marksmen-Life`s Good! :D

Unless you get the Marksmen from sources other than your Castle, their number would never come in such quantity as to outgun the Zealots. You'd better use them both.
