Heroes III run in windows mode?

Does anyone know how, or if it is even possible to run Heroes III in windows mode? Since almost every games that have come out lately can do so...

Since it's not a "active" game and I mostly just play it alone here and there, and I would also like to chat with those on MSN / Forums at the same time playing Heroes, and it's kinda unessessary going Alt+Tab everytime just to check for messages/reply.

If this is even possible for this age old game and know how to do it, could you help meh out? o_O;;

I tryed to figure out itself but haven't found out how so far... Maybe I'm just dumb and haven't noticed some stuff.

You can switch to windowed mode by pressing F4. But, your desktop has to be set to 16-bit (I think) color mode before this will work.

Actually, it works with 24 (32) bit colors, too - but you have to have a resolution higher than that of the game.
