Oliver is -- no doubt -- a great artist, but I simply don't like this new fantasy style that has found it's way into gaming art; it seems like every modern character looks slightly manga, is covered with tattos and emblazonments, and wears strange and questionable armor pieces...

At least, this particular elf's ears are no antennas -- yet...

There was a comic convention two weeks ago?Maybe I should inquire about events in my home town more often.

imo, elves should look more mystical and unhuman, not like s.o. wearing a green carnival costume. I better like the elf models from WoW.

That elf has a nice sword

In polish collectors edition of HV there was an artbook with Ledroit's arts.

Almost all of them are very nice.

This one is either the same one as from the artbook, or simply a different angle on him .... but looks pretty good (except the excess of muscle on an elf of course - they are supposed to lithe)

It's the same. And he has TWO swords. And he shares his face with the angel in the same artbook

Overall a nice piece, though I just really really dislike Sylvan and their motifs, so this picture isn't my favorite. Oliver Ledroit's baroque and detailed style is beautiful though.
