Garden of the Wee Folk

Unread postby okrane » 10 Oct 2006, 18:47

I have 2 problems with this...

1) The name is probably the worst, lame, gay, stupid, idiotic, pathetic, ridiculous, annoying, repelling, hilarious name I have ever seen in the Heroes series. What does it mean anyway?

2) Have you ever gotten gems from that thing? I haven't...

I thought those weekly resource places were there to give precious resources, not 500 gold per week... I was playing Academy I was glad that I had one near my castle coz I said: hey no resource silo. But I played for about 2 months and never gotten any gems...

This thing should be repaired... name and resource... as almost everything else in this game :(

Its a very known bug, youll never get gems. But thats not the problem imo.The problem is that if you did get the gems, there should be places for sulfur, mercury and crrystals as well.

assuming this is a translation issue...

"wee" simply refers to "small".

the reference, of course, to "wee folk" is slang for leprechauns.

Wee is irish for little, of course. Among other things.

Sounds way better with a Dublin accent.

Paradoxically, I would be more impressed if you spelled them correctly. :tonguehands:
Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.

It's the same as with the "Tree of Sylan" (or something like that). The tree mey level up a hero for a small fee or even for free. So far I have only met greedy trees :)

Makes you wonder what the reaction of the parents will be when their child will say "I'm going to play with my wee..."

Trees are very materialistic. Why else do you think treant's have such a stingy look on their faces? And why else do people put presents under the tree during christmas. It's an offering to the greedy tree so he doesn't eat the whole family.:S

As for alternative names for the garden:

Lucky Leprauchaun's Loot

Drunken Dwarves Ill-Gotten Booty
Makes you wonder what the reaction of the parents will be when their child will say "I'm going to play with my wee..."
Probably, "don't make a mess." :devious:

I have got more free level ups than not from Sylvan trees. But then I only play SP on the easiest difficulty - I only have a wee amount of courage. The last time I played on difficult level I almost weed myself. So I play on easiest, and send my foes going, "wee, wee, wee," all the way home.

How did that happen? Did they choke on it?
We will either find a way, or we will make one. Emperor Hannibal.
