Marketplace Updates

Unread postby Kalah » 02 Oct 2006, 19:52

For those of you who don't already know, the Celestial Heavens Marketplace is a page at which we put up direct links to Amazon-distributed games we think you might enjoy. Whenever new, exciting games are made available for pre-order we add these to our page, and from now on, we will also make sure a heads-up is posted here in this thread.

By buying something (anything - it doesn't have to be the featured games) from Amazon via these links, a small percentage will fall into the CH cashbox, thus supporting the site's activities.

The games added to the page this time are:

Amazon.com

- Guild Wars Nightfall
- Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War, Dark Crusade Expansion Pack
- Neverwinter Nights 2 Limited Edition DVD
- Caesar 4

Amazon.co.uk

- Warhammer: Mark of Chaos
- Guild Wars: Nightfall Collectors Edition
- Medieval 2: Total War
- Hellgate: London
- ArchLord
- Caesar 4

In this update, I got rid of Sid Meier's Railroads because it has nothing to do with anything even remotely like the M&M universe, and Neverend because it's a piece of shit. Instead, new games have been brought in:

Heroes 5 expansion: Hammers of Fate needs very little introduction. Release date set at November 14th, the first expansion sill bring forth a new race (the Dwarves), a new town (Fortress) and new exciting features like the Random Map Generator. Much is still unknown as to how the expansion will perform, but I'm probably not too far off when I say that if you like Heroes 5, you should buy the expansion.

Age of Empires expansion: Warchiefs invites you over to take the scalp of your enemy by leading tribes of native Americans to glory and conquest. Recieving good reviews from sites such as Gamespot (7.8) it should have no problem following up the success of AoE3.

I made another update today; Archlord was nudged (kicked) off the list after it became clear that it... well, sucked.

New today: the Civilization Chronicles - the complete collection of Civilization games, 1 through 4. Comparable to the HoMM Complete package (which is now sold out), this also contains all game versions up to Civ4, but it is also available in the U.S. No more of that Amazon.co.uk exclusive crap.

If you have any suggestions for new games to be added to the Marketplace, please don't hesitate to send me a PM (or you can simply post in this thread). Also I remind you once again that if you are going to shop on Amazon, go via the Marketplace links to support Celestial Heavens. Thank you. ;)

DOes this apply to ANYTHING bought at Amazon, or just games? I buy fairly often from Amazon, but not usually games. If it applies to non-games, I'd be happy to help you guys out when I purchase from amazon.

Anything and everything, even gardening equipment ;)

We'd appreciate that. All you have to do is enter Amazon via the links on the Marketplace page when you do your shopping.
