Black Knight Mod

Unread postby Arstahd » 23 May 2006, 07:06

I whipped up a little mod that replaces the necro's Wights and Wraiths with Black Knights and Death Knights. The BK has the stats of a vanilla DK and costs 1600. The new DK is a bit beefier and costs 2000.

Here is a screenshot:

And a DL link:

Unzip the contents into the Data folder to use.

***EDIT*** Uploaded new version - fixed creature tier error, increased costs by 200 each.

what's so wrong with modding?

as long as he doesn't make profit out of it; I doubt ubi/nival mind either.

overall; cool mod.

but wouldn't it be more awesome if level 6 was dark knight and level 7 was wraith?

I'm tired of dragons.

Looks interesting, and I don't see anything wrong with mods either.

I probably won't use it because I like the way the Necromancer army is set up, but good on you for making this mod.

Now, could someone mod back in the gorgons, troglodytes etc for the dungeon side to get rid of those dark elf units? :D

Well, the red one looks sort of Chaos Warrior ish, which is more Dungeons and Dragons than Heroes... maybe the red could be changed to a deep purple?

True, but weren't the Chaos Warriors in Hero Quest as well, which was D&Dish?

They were in Fighting Fantasy game books as well, but they were drawn in monochrome so don't count.

Now we can change the colors, the name and replacing with the previous units int towns with new ones. The last thing we need now is to change the shapes of the djinn, the gargoyle and maybe the treants look, but is that possible?

The black version indeed looks much cooler. Please, Nival, repaint the original death knight.

What's wrong with the gargs?

Admittedly I haven't seen the unit graphics yet, but how bad could they be?
