Patch for Heroes IV?

Hello,
Are there any performance patches for Heroes IV ? It runs very poorly on my PC (Windows 10 - bought from GOG), I've tried changing settings etc.

Or even are there any HD patches or any like HoTA? I've tried googling but cant tell what's legit.

There is/was OpenGL Wrapper. Please look in news comments. The original source is down, as author fight for Ukraine.

Turn off "Cold CPU" and turn on "Single Core".
to enter/exit the Fashion menu press F4

What exactly didn't work?
Download the mod? Install a mod? Or enable mod settings?
Did you manage to set the desired screen resolution?
What screen resolution exactly do you require?
Be more specific.

What does “it doesn’t work well on my PC” mean? How exactly does this manifest itself?
Perhaps you just need to turn the movement speed on the map to maximum.
It's not clear what you mean when you talk about performance. Is your game freezing in combat? Or does it crash?
The proposed mod is the best solution that exists at the moment.

Ensure that you have the latest version of the game from GOG, as they sometimes release patches for compatibility and performance improvements.
