[HoMM3 Complete] Patches?

I'm playing HoMM3 Complete (via GoG) in Windows 10; is there an equivalent for the Heroes games to the GrayFace patches of MM6-8? Mostly what I want is windowed mode that doesn't care about color depth.

Otherwise yes, there's ERA III. or HotA or VCMI. But these are all mods or engines (in case of VCMI), so the most verbatim to the original is HDMod.

Seems so, the FAQ would need complete overhaul, it's from 2008 and it's visible.
