Watch a Movie... While You Wait

Unread postby Angelspit » 17 May 2006, 17:22

If you are still waiting for your copy of Heroes V to show up in store, here is something that might make the wait less painful: a bunch of new movies on the official site. There's the very cool game trailer that shows parts of the introduction movie and some very quick gameplay sequences (it also says that the game is out now). There's a Haven video that shows, again, some parts of the introduction movie and the first cutscene of the Haven campaign. Finally, there's a movie where Fabrice describes the multiplayer modes, including the oh-so cool ghost mode.

The introduction movie will look much better when you will launch the game, so you might consider skipping the Haven movie and the trailer and sticking to the multiplayer mode movie. If you don't mind learning a little more about the plot, watch the trailer, since it is smaller, and skip the Haven movie.

Well they did not need to show those movies with humans talking without their lips moving. But the ghost mode is interesting.

Yeah, they should have focused on the trees! :)

The only problem I had was that everything looked squished -- the letterbox format really didn't look that great. When I watched the haven intro.

On the other hand, I'm positively salivating over the chance of playing the "Peasant Rally" map. It looks like as much fun as the "peasant suppression" map of Heroes II. :)

I ordered the Deluxe Edition (Black Box) through UBi and got my game Yesterday. I didn’t get the Gold coin.

Hopefully they have a expansion quick,

as there’s not many single player scenarios.

I got the 3extra scenarios (No clue which ones)and the totals other then the campaigns

are 1-Normal, 4- Big, and 4- Very Big.
In the world of the Dead, its nice to be alive,I think.

Just so you know, the multiplayer maps can all be played as single player and with variable starting positions and town-types. Just click the check-box at the top of the map selection screen to see the MP maps as well.

Yah and without those multiplayer levels the game seems "small"! The levels are well made and there are some really tough ones.(like "warlords", I've lost 2 times already... and I'm still recovering. lol)

I thought about plugging Rob King's Red Delicious record on Napster, which is now free again. Perhaps I'll do it during the week-end.
