Might and Magic 9 Abbot Leffery Caid bug?

Hello, i have been to Guberland and got the priest promotion quest, i then went to Abbot Leffery Caid in Lindsfarne Monastery, when speak to him he asks if i can help him with a quest, but only gives options of:
no maybe later and can i ask another question, is this a bug? I tried saving game and deleting the lindsfarne monastry minisaves from the game folder(as someone elsewhere posted that as a work around if theres a bug in this area), but that didnt do anything? Any help please?

Yea, the quest is buged. Minisave deleting should help though, did you left area before deleting them ?

Thankyou, i went outside the Monastery door only, and saved the game then deleted minisaves then reloaded the saved game?
