What is the fascination with making homm heavy on the politics? It's boring and if the writing is poor, extremely damaging. I think that's one of the things that's really hurting this game.
I want a good old fashion kill-fest without the poly-sci about elf government officials opposition to current quota limitations on wood processing in saw mills.
And why are they discussing unicorn reinforcements when everyone knows unicorns were voted off the face of the planet and replaced with cosmic antelope.

Well put mr.hackcrag. The problem is the writers employed by Ubisoft think they are Tolkiens, but they're not even Robert Jordans.
Trying to divine any meaning from Ubisoft's weird policy decisions is quite pointless however. They do what they do, and hopefully they stumbled upon a studio that salvages just a little bit of the franchise. Luckily in this genre game play still trumps plot.
