I've recently begun playing Heroes 4 seriously, and I don't understand the way Luck and Morale work in this game. Obviously, their role is very different from the first three Heroes games, and I have difficulty grapsing it.
Can somebody explain the mechanics of Luck and Morale in HOMM 4?

Morale positive or negative starts at the begining of each battle turn and has two effects:
1) Gives priority in movement (units with positive go first even if they normally slower). Negative gives to units last movement.
2) Attack of unit is increased by 25%. With negative it is decreased by 20%.
Luck positive or negative works on unit when it is hit by other unit and some spells (NOT ALL!) and has one effect: changing damage done. With positive damage is decreased by 1/3 (33%) and with negative damage is increased by 50%. I will write soon wich spells work on this, which don't.
1 point of luck or morale (in both positive and negative way) gives 10% chance of activating.
So, 3 points of positive luck show us the unit has 30% chance to 1/3 damage reduce.
7 points of negative morale show us the unit has 70% chance to get last movement and decreased attack by 20%.

Ok, I've checked spells. Luck both positive and negative:
1) Works with: lightning, implosion, desintegration, holy word, holy shout.
2) Doesn't work with: magic fist, magic arrow, poison, sparks, fire bolt, fire ring, fire ball, inferno, plauge, ice bolt, chain lightning, armageddon, hand of death.
