Ok so I have this issue that I can't rotate the camera map and it is driving me crazy because of 2 things:
1. It used to work, I have tried the CTRL + INS/DEL/LArrow/RArrow but nothing, tried the right mouse click and hold but still nothing.
2. It works in combat, I can rotate until I get dizzy and puke if I want to. Why doesn't it work?
I recently dabbled with the user.cfg to get windowed mode. But I have restored the file back to default, still nothing.
If anyone needs more information, just say so. I want problem dealt with.
Thank you!
Rotating camera map
Hi Bartch,
Once the game is open you can get to
Options - Video and Audio - Camera Mode
Then have three choices, Normal, Vertical fixed, or Classic HoMM view.
Normal is the one you should have selected.
I sometimes switch this to vertical fixed when trying pin down the exact location of the Tears, so perhaps you inadvertently switched yours to Classic (which fits your description) for some reason.
Check out the options and see what you have set there.
Hope it helps.

We will either find a way, or we will make one. Emperor Hannibal.
I feel so stupid right now, I didn't even think about checking the options.Bonzer wrote:Hi Bartch,

Thank you very much!
Don't.
Stupid would be me and my "too frequent ravings" when I discovered "fill-in-the-blank" in H5. (there is great depth)
i.e. I made a big mistake; I didn't bother to read the manuals on creatures and decided on upgrades by screen information only; later on, when an enemy creature did some fantastic strike (like crossfire) I'd think WTH?
I discovered "the hard way" that there is a lot of great detail in the Fan Manuals.![smile_teeth :D](/forums/images/smilies/smile_teeth.gif)
