Which spells are permanent?

When I build a mage's guild in a particular town, do I get to keep those spells permanently, or are the spells only usable for that scenario?

Also, I hired a priest and suddenly I gained 5 new spells... are those spells also permanent?

The spells are tied into the hero. If the hero carries over (such as a campaign) then the spells carry over if they were learned in a mage guild or through scholar.

Not sure what you are talking about with the priest.
