Help! Campaign History Wiped!

Hey don't know if anyone out there is still reading this forum but here goes ... been playing this game for the first time (HOMM V) on a Mac and I downloaded it from the Mac Games store about two weeks ago. Have had no issues what so ever except for my own learning curve was all the way through to game three of the Mage Campaign (the last one) when we had a brief power outage here and the computer went off suddenly. When it came back up, HOMM loaded fine and all my saved games are there but the campaign history thinks I've never played a game - they're all greyed out except the first one, like I just started. Tried loading one of the saved games and playing that level through to the end, but even though I get the congratulations etc, when it goes back to the menu, I still can't move forward in campaign - all still greyed out. Any suggestions or am I just screwed?

Well, sorry but no good news. I don't know Macs but power outages can damage files and H5 is notorious for corruption issues. I recently had a PC quit after an outage and my PC guru suggested; "gamers (all pc-users) should be running a battery back-up for PC protection".

I'm guessing you've not done a hard-drive BU in a long while, so you'll have to restart, unless one's recent enough to save some re-steps.
