Save games--can you specify the name

Can you specify the name of the game you want to save?

It looks like at the bottom left of the save game screen there is a place for indicating the save name. There is a default name. Can it be changed?

Umm? Yes? You just enter the name with your keyboard, as usual?..

When I click on the box on the left bottom, I can't type in new name.
