I have a few favorites

-Markal: I liked how Markal always seems somewhat insane, with talking to inanimate objects & dead things that aren't even animated. Plus it was also amusing watching Markal turn Isabel into his little puppet, and than just stay totally silent whenever Godric points out how Markal is calilng the shots and controlling her. Plus Markal's campaign was really fun to play.

-Agrael & Raelag (I consider them the same character): I enjoyed the story of the demonlord who stabbed everyone in the back and became a dark elf. Raelag was really cool and fun play as to.

-The Demon Sovereign: Kha-Beleth made a great villain, though he didn't make enough appearances throughout the game.

Findan and Zehir are definitely my two least favorite characters you get to play as in the original. They're both so boring I found, and Findan annoyed me with his haiku's.

I honestly didn't really have any favorite characters from the two expansions.

There are a bunch of heroes I like in different situations.

I hate Agrael for his arrogance, but I love his specialty. Initiative being so important in Heroes, I always tried to find Agrael in any game I played. (Some custom maps allow you to select him.)

WHat is the highest initiative Blood Maiden/ Cerebus you have gotten with Raelag/ Agrael?

I like Freyda for her personality, her good looks, and... Haste! As mentioned above, initiative is so important that Mass Haste Winrider Specialty Freyda is a delight to play. Ah, I love Initiative-26 Griffins - have any of you managed a higher level?

I liked Ornella for her sexy voice and her vampire princess specialty. I generally did not find Arantir's personality or his specialty good.

Findan's haikus were annoying, but his inability to get Elven Luck was even more annoying!

I despise that annoying, moronic sounding Zehir. He sounds worse than the heroes in a BOllymood movie, plays worse, and is generally the reason why although I loved playing Wizard/Order in Heroes II, III, IV, I don't like to play Wizard in Heroes V.

Wulfstan is also quite pathetic. His specialty is useless most of the time. Even DragonBlessed Isabel was better.

Most of the barbarian heroes had specialties I found boring and crappy. Have any of you ever benefitted from Gotai's Warchief specialty?
