Yes, but that might be because it was pretty easier to start hiring wyverns (if you had plenty of wood), before hiring basilisks and gorgons.

That's the second map of the Swamp campaign in AB, no doubt. I usually don't even bother with buying so many creatures, since my 4 heroes would've been able to melt entire armies with their spells at this stage.

Fortress FTW! I remember in the Adrienne's campaign maps were very huge, especially the final one with like around 25 towns scattered around the map. Gosh, I love Fortress so much.
