A sweet poster. Anyone selling the poster or tapestry? Hell, why not a T-Shirt? I love it.

- Looks like Catherine and Roland to the left of Agrael

- To the right of Agrael = Archibald from Heroes 2?

- Sandro and Solmyr are obvious

- Is that Crag Hack in the front left?

- I see the elf chick from Clash of Heroes in the back there

- Next to Archibald looks like Arantir from Dark Messiah/Tribes of the East

- Wondering why Gelu didn't make the cut...

Love how Corak has the NWC logo on his armour. And indeed, Sheltem looks badass.

Awesome artwork.

Seeing Sheltem reminds me of the Isle of Lost Souls when you map out his name. That inturn gives me nightmares about the size of it and how hard the Minotaurs and Gorgons are.

I want a MM10!!!

Better question is why is the big bad from Sailor Moon s2 (Doom Phantom/Wiseman) at the top of the picture?

The characters from old Heroes games are barely recognizable. You can recognize Sandro since he's the only lich and Solmyr since he's the only genie. You can recognize Crag Hack because of the helmet and Archibald because of the hair and mustache. However, Roland and Catherine Ironfist look completely different than they're supposed to.

Meh, it's not like H3's expansions didn't change Roland and Cat way too much for my liking...

I recognised them from their armour, which is in fact from MM7.

Yeah the art style here depicts them a little differently from the more realistic style of Heroes III. I also identified Catherine by her armour rather than her appearance.

Roland never had a constant appearance. Look at the following pictures. They are from Heroes 2, Heroes 3, MM7 and MM8, in this order:

Archibald too looks different in MM7 but -weirdly- only for the intro. In fact, I always disliked how they would change Roland's appearance from game to game. It's ridiculous. He was supposed to be growing, not making visits for makeovers.

Maybe it would be if someone not added random CREATURES from HVI. Also why most of NWC heroes looks like caricature?
I'm surprised that there are no players "favourite" heroes from HV: Biara and Isabel. ;)

Elwin and Shaera, Tawny Balfour, Gauldoth the Half-Dead, Lysander, Emilia? Anyone? Ok, I could have guessed, never mind :disagree:

They ruined Sheltem's hel,et. He wasn't that horned in the original :) It would also be so much better if he was drawn in his real appearance, without armour, that half-face looks even cooler.

Besides, where are Ultimate Adventurers or at least some of them (like Kastore, Resurectra, Sir Canegm (he is JVC's "avatar" for chrissakes. And a much better candidate than freaking Godric) and Terran Crag Hack). They would fit so much more and are more important than Enrothian Crag Hack, who's charismatic and famous, but not really that significant.

Same goes for several other heroes from the old universe (who could have been included at the very least instead of the Heroes VI units). Why wouldn't they include Escaton, who is a major character in MM on the unviersal scale? And surely is much more interesting and important than than Sauron ripoff renamed Kha'Beleth. Also, you could have included the Kreegan (Zenofex or the Queen from MM VI), they were major antagonists i nthe series.

Overall, I liked how Archibald (he looks just like in the old MM games) and Corak (very accurate and true to the original, unlike Sheltem and sove others) are depicted. Art style is also nice.

P.S. About Roland's appearance, it wasn't really changing much. His portait in MM VII/AB looks similar to his HoMM II portrayal, only older and more worn out from almost seven years of imprisonment and tortures. In MM VIII, which takes place after the Demon Wars, he is much more recovered, and shaved his beard.
Make you strong places to dwell and practice the evil of your arts. Build great monuments to stand through the ages and remind your followers of the task with which you have been charged. Use these halls of iniquity to perpetrate your schemes against the infestation that has taken the fields and lakes of this land from you, their rightful masters. Never forget the hatred that must finally overcome and consume mankind. Dwell in your dungeons and brood. - Sheltem the Dark

Or, you know, they just reused the sprite from MM7 (the guy in the town hall of Harmondale).
