HOMM 3 Create a Hero with No Troops

How do you create a hero with no troops?

I seem to remember it had something to do with transferring an army from one hero to another and canceling it somehow then dismissing the troops left over

Could someone please spell it out for me.

I've tried searching this site, heroes community and google but have had no luck

Not possible as far as I'm aware. Just give him 1 centaur/dragonfly/wolf raider. 1 hardly makes a difference and it makes your hero go fast.

yes,sometime it is possible to complete it.

1 simply method is that you can make a guard which need some monsters to be opened,then you give your hero same monsters.

when the hero go through this guard,his troops will be reduced,then he has no troops anywhere.

Granted! Thas is possible.

Create hero with one creature and then Quest Guard reguesting it to pass. Voila, unitless hero is here!

To create a hero with no troops in HOMM 3:
- stand in one of your towns
- open kingdom overview
- click on 'view towns'
There for each town the garrison and visiting hero is shown, and you can dismiss all of their troops, even the last one.
If I am correct, those heroes have the same speed as if they had a dragonfly (speed 9).
Edit: just tried it and works only for visiting heroes.

dragonfly's speed is 13.

one hero has no troop,his speed is 11 although speed is more than 11,their movement is the same.

yes, you are right.
i was thinking about serpent fly but wrote the wrong name. and i was also wrong about the movement of the hero (just checked it on a map).
at least the method to create the hero with no troops is correct :)
