It is a fort alright. I think it's where the control areas are centered... Btw, is this control area thingy similar to Disciples III?

Technically, I guess you can call it a "fort", but it doesn't look anything like one. If it's a fortified town, that's one thing. If it's merely a fortification without settlement, the walls and towers suggest to me that the proper term should be "castle".

That's definitely not a town, however you might look at it. It's a single building. But depending on the real scale, it could be anywhere from a mansion or church to a citadel.

Well a fort could just be made from one piece, nothing wrong with that...
