H6 official site update
The official Might and Magic: Heroes 6 <a href="/http://might-and-magic.ubi.com/heroes-6 ... omepage has got a recent overhaul. Most info there is already known, but some bits, for instance unit specials are an interesting read. The site is certainly not complete but chances are that it will henceforth be updated regularly. Of course, with all the experiences with Heroes 5 site and hard to understand advertising policies of Ubisoft we cannot know for sure. For those of you who want the news before others it can be advised to check both Facebook and the official site in coming weeks.

I hate seeing "Coming Soon" on a Web site. That's so 1998.

What i found interesting was the bio's for the siblings... ignoring the hatchet job translation and doubling up on info they seem to imply they'll all have choices to make... but i guess it's too much to hope for for that to be a game mechanism of some sort...

BTW, anyone else noticed the red, flaming angle in the concept art?! Isn't it a bit too early in the timeline for red angels?!

Oh I hope that they'll have those choices and more.
IMO, HOMM6, errr... MMH6, should have more depth to the game mechanism (along with some advancements to the game play) otherwise it'll be just H5 with new art. I'm not asking for the kind of leap we got from H3 to H4, more like the kind of evolution we got from Morrowind to Oblivion.

Many would argue that Oblivion is not a good sequel of Morrowind.

I could only wish they made H6 like H4. The lack of upgrades meant that all creatures were unique, and the ability to choose different creatures in each town made for great replayability and strategic depth. Even though I love H3 to death, buying the same buildings and same units every time with a certain faction does get a little old.
What I hope for at the very least is that Black Hole studios attempts to draw on the best aspects of all the past games and merge it into something that still captures the feel of past games at the same time. I would love to see H5's skill system, H4's hero mechanic, and H3's realism all in one fantastic game.

Ouch! The incredibly hokey/cliched/etc. background artwork on the homepage opening screen is certainly ominous (right, Shirley?), as is the totally underwhelming/anemic artwork for the Haven, Inferno, and Necropolis adventure map structures. As for the creatures, well, I suppose it's still early days. Aren't the Goblins simply gussied-up versions of H5 TOE units? As a huge fan of the H3 "realistic", "mature" graphic style, I'll admit that the early concept artwork for H5 seemed so ...insubstantial and overblown somehow. However, in all its actual 3D glory, H5 did not fail to impress, so one remains hopeful...
