More Academy Heroes

The Academy heroes who didn't show up in time for the original meeting can be found on the U.K. section of the official portal. The style and the background information of these new characters are intriguing. Having a male hero whose entire body is covered by a black burq (as shown on the right) is rather refreshing, to say the least. Here is what Ubisoft has to say about him:

"Faiz is notorious in the Silver Cities for his gruesome countenance, which he usually covers with a scarf. His scars are the result of an encounter with Desert Orcs, and from that day the once light-hearted Mage turned himself to thoughts of devastation and ruin. Mastering these arts, Faiz has gained the ability to inflict intensive arcane destruction upon his enemies."

Oh my.... we have Djinn heroes! And they do have faces. 8|

I'm not even gonna asks why Nur is dressed like an arabian hooker.

Also, Desert-Orcs.... wonder what that's about.

Is it just me, or does Galib look constipated? And Zehir really needs to lose the beard, IMO—it makes him look like he has a permanent crazed smile. o_o

Complaining again tsk, tsk :p

Well noone liked every hero in past games doubt that will be the case now either.

I knew the djinns had faces and heads, suspecting that the hat was too big. But comparing to the rest of the body the head got to be in a big tight hat when the head looked so small.

These new Academy heroes seems well varied, all from past enslaved dudes, blind old and crazy mages to energic djinns and cute arabian girls. The small background stories is interesting too, Desert Orcs? Will that mean that the barbarian faction will be set from rough to sand terrain and dwarves/gnomes to snow? Anyway this is great =D

True, the genies look... somewhat more dangerous than we're used to. It's as if they had a bad hair-- I mean hat day.

The most interesting one is Razzak, I think. In short, his bio would be something like: "He dabbled with things beyond him, the experiment backfired, so now he's blind and paralyzed so he started making Golems to help him move. So that's why his Golems gain various bonuses in combat."

Yes, because a a blind paraplegic old man must be way better at making golems than anybody.
I wonder how he aims his spells and normal attack?!

When you are a blind paraplegic wizard in the M&M universe, then voice your opinion regarding that... Up till then there's no point trying to connect realism with a fantasy world :)

For crying out loud! Realism does NOT equal Reality. Realism is only aplied to Fiction, Reality is Real, so it doesn't need Realism, because it's already Real. Fiction needs Realism, and Fantasy is Fiction.

Partially paralized does work (even if it's taken out of Greek mythology), but why blind? Doesn't really work well with Golems, would have worked with a more spiritual special.

Nathir's bio is interesting, but that mask of his looks hideous, don't you think?

And is it just me, or is Galib's nose a bit large? A bit more even? And that red beard should really be recoloured, because it looks like some sort of freaky mouth...

I'm pretty sure the mask is supposed to be hideous!

And Galib looks like he's brain damaged.

Give it up ThunderTitan. You made your utterly negative viewpoint clear quite some time ago (several months ago, in fact). Just let everyone else post their opinions without verbally assualting them, okay?

Of course, his brain is made out of hat-stuffing material. Otherwise he might have thought to take care of his appearance a bit. It seems the Academy is a very odd place to be. Everyone is either covered in incurable scars and injuries, or is just ridiculously ugly and doesn't realize it. But oh well, their bios are decent, and the character portraits are certainly varied and interesting enough, if a bit... odd.
Happy Millenium!

In case you haven't noticed Infiltrator started it (i don't mind btw)!

Also, I didn't notice ur opinion on the heroes.

Me, i do like Nur, even if I find her so called "bra" rather stupid, and Nathir and his mask look just fine. Little miss borgia of the Necros is my favorite as of now.
