The H6 Lamasu. It's a manticore, isn't it ...

At least this one is a creature from mythology (--> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lammasu).

It feels quite out of place in the undead/necropolis ranks, though. This is probably what UbiSoft was referring to in the last Q&A when they were asked whether the new creature lineups would be more "race-based" or more "theme-based"...

Once again, a manticore needs fangs and a tail with at least a stinger...

And according to lore this was made by cross-breeding humans with manticores... sounds more like a Sphinx to me...

Sphinx, Lammasu and Manticore are completely different creatures. The only thing in common is that they are mixed with other creatures. Lions seems to be the main ingredient

And dont forget the Basilisk, now THATS a screwed up combination of things (no not the six legged dude..)

Different yes; completely? Not. They are all based on the same concept with small variations. Wings, lion body, human head.

Except that the Lammasu originally had the body of a bull, before somoene more familiar with the Sphinx decided it was close enough...
