Has anyone played this game? It caught my eye because Impulse describes it as similar to Heroes of Might and Magic.

I've yet to play it, but I know it's a sequel to Fantasy Wars. I recommend playing Fantasy Wars first (it's very cheap, by the way). If you're asking how Fantasy Wars is, well, it is a turn-based strategy, and it is indeed similar to HoMM, but only in the vaguest sense. It's an old school turn based strategy (more along the lines of Genghis Khan, Fantasy General, and a little bit of Wesnoth), focused more on tactics and battle formations.

Ok that's what I guessed from the screenshots. My gut reaction was Wesnoth in 3D.

People seem to think any TBS game is similar to HoMM... unless they're more like Civ (i wonder what they think of Jagged Alliance nowadays).
