So they took the map from WoW and the combat system from Fable? (One button for Melee, one for Ranged one for Magic?)

Yes, because WoW totally invented maps that show you quest markers... :disagree:

Does anyone even remember the first game that used markers on a mini-map for quests? I don't. And its not like this will be the first game to copy and paste features from a bunch of other games and it wont be the last its a tradition. Granted they should have copied the devil may cry combat system, a one button combat system is just boring "hey look at me I'm doing nothing but rapidly tapping the A button for an hour killing rats."

Wait, what...?

The game does not sell well in North America, so we need to make it simpler?

As if we never played an Elder's Scroll or Baldur's Gate?
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

But with all these dumbed down series, there's less competition for a non-dumb game among those of us with IQ larger than our shoe size. Right? Anyone know of any such game, by the way? A new one, that is.

I'd go to the indie genre, if I were you.

For the beginning, try something like this.

Of course, unless you insist on shiny graphics.

Yes, yes I do... actually, what I usually do is buy PC's with bells and whistles that can run games with shiny, shiny graphics, then pop in MM VII etc. and complain that they don't run too well.

Well there is always dragon age for those baldurs gate fans. Its far from consolized/simplified, easy mode KOTOR, so at least we have slight haven for good RPG's.
