How does the damage on the best axe compare to that of the best spear? With enough armsmaster (i.e. w/hero gloves) the speed doesn't really seem to matter that much. How much does that 1/2 plate recovery affect speed if I were to go Master plate? How does the Dark Magic reward work after game compl...

Yeah, I tried out the duel classing aspect, without checking the chart or basing my starting party on it. Druid became a Sorcerer {Very nice though Cleric would have been a better choice} GM Light, Water, Earth, Meditation and Alchemy. Master Body {See?}. Good to great trade. Paladin became an Arche...

I thought the challenge with the werewolves quest was based more on the number of werewolves than their strength. I can agree that they're kind of weak except for the top tier class who can be a real asskicker with one hit drops. But as they don't have a range attack, I don't have that much of a pro...

Fun mod so far but there have been some oddities and I haven't even gotten to the Barrow Downs yet. One problem was with the autotour part on Emerald Island. I noticed a early few stat/skill bonuses like the well that grants 40 Endurance points/ 5 skill points and I decided to restart a team. So whe...

I like the idea behind this {an army centered around Vampires instead of Skeleton Archers will be far more fun in the later battles and Attack/Archery/BF is now far less important than Dark, Summoning and Defense. Makes more sense for a Necromancer giving their stat distribution} but with the patch ...

Doesn't Runic Machines also affect the Catapult? I use that with Luck to take down castles. I don't recommend attack because Offensive Formation doesn't gel all that well with Runes and Retribution is wishful thinking. Defensive Formation/{Other skill} offers more possibilties. I forget the name but...

You mean you will be able to upgrade only 7 units per week? That is kind of worthless... I mean... training only 7 archers per week is kind of useless... Ok I agree you can upgrade stronger units... but an extra paladin won't do much difference, and those training buidings are pretty expensive to j...

Necromany? I wasn't talking about special skills but rather Attack/Archery/Battle Frenzy. I have tried using skeleton archers without them {never came up} and they don't work, no matter how many you have. On the other hand, I had 150 Vampire Lords {A very helpful neutral stack was just waiting there...

Helmar gets my vote. At high levels, you get a free mass cast of RM for every time you cast mass Haste or Deflect Arrow and this Faction needs all the Attack it can get. The Spearwielder Hero is only good for starting with Soldier's Luck as Spearthrowers will never do much damage and it is pretty mu...

The same is true for Dungeon. You HAVE to find a way to classify the hero as well and as Heavy Artillery (or main Support shooter or whatever), because otherwise the Dungeon army doesn't work. So I would say mainly that simply classifying a creature out of the dwelling is treating them all as neutr...

LEMS were fixed in 1.11 so they are not that bad anymore. Creatures can be immune to all three Elemental magic and be immune to Magic/Physical in Hell. Creature has one base immunity and then can be Enchanted with the other two and tack on Physical resistance/magical resistance for that extra kick. ...

I play Dungeon as Might and not Magic. Attack, Logistics, Luck, Leadership and Destructive Magic {Minotaur hero is a favorite of mine}. The faction gets a cheap Artifact Merchant so I spend my time looking for those Speed Boots and items that increase Morale and Luck. I keep two stacks of Furies {Li...

Hmm. Holy Avenger {Keldorn}, Runehammer {Korgan} and that +5 paladin B@stard { Why did that happen?} sword and Foebane duel wielded by Haer Daelis. No wonder my only real problem was the fact it kept turning invisible. I never got into the habit of using magic, not even the level nine and ten spells...

Team I had most fun using was Goblin Druid, Human Thief, Dwarven Cleric and Elven Knight {Spell it out yourself}, with max and min stats. Druid started with no mana, Knight did no damage, Cleric couldn't hit anything and the Thief was just average. Goblin Druids do not suck at combat by the way and ...

The forest is dark. You've been eaten by a Grue. That pretty much covers my adventures in Zork, that and the unopenable egg. Inopenable, imopenable... I didn't mind having to use my imagination but I really could have used a list of commad words and a map. Funny enough, I had this game on an old Ap...

Dungeon has the strongest creatures in respective tiers(not counting FoH),so it had to be compensated by smaller growth and higher prices.Imagine an army of 200 furries :scared: They are a pretty interesting faction to play because they dont feet the old just plung into them cliche. To be honest,all...
