I believe that's so that you have three classes (base, first promotion, second promotion) per character instead of just two, like you would for the other continents. There should be an NPC to promote your character to the Priest-equivalent. Light stopping at Expert for Acolyte is on track with the ...

One other thing that's baffling me is how the Acolyte of the Light, which from what I can gather is the MM8 Cleric, is for some reason restricted to expert in Light magic.

Has anybody made a readable list for what races get a bonus to what skills? I know minotaurs get a bonus to axe, but beyond that, I'm at a loss.

Revamp localization ver 1.0 is done! I've also uploaded whole game , so u don't need forgetting something during installation and getting the game crashed. English version also uploded. Usually the fix is to use more recent pack. I was surprised to see people that still use officially bugged MM8Patch 2.5.4. I downloaded the "Merge Revamp latest version" and "Latest Fixes for Base Merge" you linked, copied them into the folder the same way I did to apply the mod...

I tried uninstalling MM8 and all its components (except for save files, which I moved elsewhere), so I could redownload it and try again, but now GOG won't let me download it at all. What happened? How do I fix this? Did I lose everything now?

Still having crashing issues. Managed to progress a little further after switching compatibility to Windows 98. Now, the game is crashing any time I try to enter the Tularean Caves.

So, the occasional audio stutter and graphical glitch aside, this was working just fine until I tried to go to Erathia from Harmondale. The game crashes every single time. Is there a fix to this issue? OS is Windows 7.
