Re: Fortress Lineup
I like the beavertailless beavers. Seriously, no trolling. But then I am not to much emotionally attached to any lineup or lore from any inkarnation of Heroes of Might and Magic. To me, lineups were always a mess no mather if it was 3DO or UBI Biblical angels in castle? Pegasi in a tolkieness rampar...

Re: H7 1.7 Announced for February
May we understand this as a hint for something that isn't official announced at this point but you are already aware of ?Kalah wrote:I'm thinking that if you haven't bought it yet, you might as well wait and see if there's an expansion coming, hopefully with all the patches installed on disc.

I also want a giraffe with a monocle, a motorcycle combination, a bathrobe skin and a shopping cart to give my heros some flavoured apperance.

Re: JVC's Creature Quest
Intresting. I love that it is more like an abstract, board gameish type of thing. On top no movement on the battlefield - hurray! Flanking? Cross the Battlefield in one turn? Fly over obstacles? Gone! Allways felt that these were kind of superfluous elements of strategical depth in gameplay. Imho th...

Re: Heroes VII Released
Will Ubisoft allow us to install a single license on more than on computer? Will the Activation Process handle that? Id like to to install it on my notebook with egpu, but if that does not work out I have to install it on my workstation.

Don't care - if this game turns out to be good, i will still playing it after I have upgraded my hardware several times. Maybe I have to play on low settings in the beginning, but the next hardware upgrade should fix that. Concerning level editors, those always were heavy on resources. Even the H3 a...

H7 Collectors Ed. Available in US
I will not preorder and wait until reviews are out.Skill system seems mainstreamed to me. Its not about randomness for me, but about the lack of inter dependance of choices. The graphs that represent the choices seem way less complex to me then the H5 skillwheel. As far as daydreaming is concerned, ...

Has the petition mentioned in the forum a chance to change the mind of the developers for a more h5ish approach or is it to late to do something about it in the vanilla game?

How to interpret the battleground in the thumb above -
- Just an odd camera angle to get a nice vista
or
- something like half of the battlefield is over the edge of the cliff, only for flyers?

IMO the best depiction of a female fantasy knight is Rodney Matthews cover for the Michael Moorcock book The Champion of Garathorm. http://castledragonscar.blogspot.de/2010/08/1970s-fantasy-art-rodney-matthews-roger.html (First Picture) Most other depictions artists tend to come up with are to bulky...

Limbic could fail as easily as did Black Hole and Nival in the eyes of some people. The single constant in this process is UBI. We need to focus on them not on some developer they might change as they seem it fit. No matter who the developer is, they all operate within the boundaries of whatever UBI...

I think that's the one from H6?
That may well be the case. Didn't recognize that. I got stuck early in H6 and never played it again since then. My copy of the expansion is even still wrapped.
Hydra looks very mean.

Why am I bound to be a losing voter?
That's why I stopped bothering and embraced fatalism. We are all doomed ... ;-)
Hydra, Shield ... are they hinting at some kind of crossover universe? Powers of Ashan vs Marvel Avengers. Ironman would be a nice Forge Hero ...

Anybody familiar with the realtime strategy game called "Z"? It also featured areas of control. The neat thing was the more areas you controll, the faster your troop production. Think about it. There could be all kinds of mali and boni bound to certain areas. Like loosing some national mon...

I still hope we end up with a game that is so open for modifikation that fan (groups of) made factions, alteried or expanded Versions of existing factions and the like will become realiistic endeavours WITHOUT the need to reverse engeneer the game.
