That might be a nice idea, but there's a few potential problems with it. First of all, E3 is always a race (for the large gaming sites at least). Who gets to release the new Heroes 6 screens first, and who gets the first interview out revealing neat new features. If someone were to travel around, it...

Hard to tell. If every major publisher were to have their own show / event, it would be expensive to be a gaming journalist. It's fine for the large gaming sites that has people in many countries and sufficient funds. For smaller sites however, they would be able to only go to a few such events (and...

I think E3 might have lost focus over the years. In the beginning it was a great arena for developers to show their games, and talk to media and buyers face to face. Lately it's become more of a "most booth babes and loudest noise" sort of show, and that's not what it should be. ESA did tr...

Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) Finished?

Next Generation reports that sources within the industry reveals that E3 will be no more in it's present form: Senior industry sources have revealed to Next-Gen.Biz that the E3 industry event, in its present form, has been cancelled for next year and the foreseeable future. Good or bad if it is so?

X-Com and Fallout are my favoured games series :). Even Heroes can't match them... *ducks* If you're looking for something similar to X-COM, we've listed all known projects at StrategyCore here . As for commercial games, the Silent Storm series by Nival is excellent. UFO: Aftermath and Aftershock ar...

One of the best games ever made! I heard the rumour that StarDock (GalCiv I & II) might do the sequel too.

Re: Night Watch

Has anyone seen this Russian movie in a theater? (Of course, the probability is fairly low.) I have a few questions: 1. Is the international version and the USA version one and the same? 2. What are the English spellings of these character names as seen in subtitles? (They seem to be spelled differ...

More on UFO2000, Pocket UFO and Project Xenocide

UFO2000 - X-COM multiplayer: Multiplayer is something many a X-COM fan wished for when the game was first released. The UFO2000 team took it upon them to provide what the developers didn't, and everyone is encouraged to check it out! You can find the official site here . http://www.strategycore.co....

Remember we got the CelestialHeavens.com / StrategyCore.co.uk interview coming. If Fabrice answers half the questions you should get fair amounts of new information to discuss :) (the interview was 35 questions long! :)
