Play Visual Effects

I have been using this function to create visual effects on the adventure map but I wanted to know if I could play a visual effect during combat on the arena map. Whenever I try to play a visual effect inside a combat script the visual effect does not play. Please help if you can.

I finally got this to work now. It appears that combat scripts only work on heroes. So I switched the combat script to be on the players hero that will be attacking the town hero. The script then triggers and works fine.

How to get a Combat script to trigger in a town [H5]

I have a comabt script tha works great on the hero but when the hero enters a town the script stops functioning. I tried putting the script on the combat script for the town but it never triggers. Can anyone tell me how to get a Combat script to trigger in a town?

How can you transfer an artifact from a hero in mission1 to mission2. I see that you can carryover heroes but how do you carryover artifacts?

Seer hut displays as Treant Guardian [H5]

When I design the seer hut it displays as the hut in the editor but when I play the game the hut has the image of a Treant Guardian.

How to script this? [H5]

I want a certain action to happen when a creature is slain.


When I put the script under the script section of the creature dialog (combat) but the script fires before combat.

Please help if you can. I cant find out where to place the code.

You will not see the new point of light in the editor unless you switch to the underground and then back to topside. If that doesn't work for you let me know and I'll go through the process step by step. GOW Not sure exactly what you mean.. I did try to view the light while playing the scenario not...

How do you make an objective (trigger) to show up on day #1. I understand how to setup an objective but if they are set to be active already then they don't show the new objective box or the target glance location on day one. - I tried having the active state being turned on when using a DAY trigger...
