I have completed my "Empires" map series with the submission of Asiatic Empires. Along with the use of the H4 Utility by Slava Salnikov, and the help of Koni, Muszka and Humakt, who helped with map improvements, these 4 extra large HoMM4 maps are not only breathtaking but educational as well. 8 real regions of Europe, Asia and North America, covering over 25 countries and over 100 cities are represented here. Depending on which map you play, and what empire you choose, you are given accurate historical events of that particular empire. Historical accounts of each town on each map, is also included and can be read on the signposts located near each town.

"You begin with Ancient Empires, and the dawning of Democracy. Greece and Italy are the prominant Empires here, and their depiction of how they changed the world forever. Followed by Atlantic Empires, where Spain and England compete for the rights of open sea lanes to the New World, which eventually leads to the defeat of the Spanish Armada. Next, with Arctic Empires, you will learn about the Vikings' dominance over Northern Europe and the exploration and exploitation of the last frontier: Alaska. Finally, you are subjected to the harsh settlement of the Kamchatka peninsula and the violent dynasties of Korea."

These maps can be played in any order you wish. Both Standard and WoW versions are included in the downloads. I wanted to make something different from a regular storytelling pespective. And I wanted to make something that caught your attention. This seemed like the perfect project for both. As the project progressed, feedback from the contributing team members made the series even more interesting than I had originally intended. It's like the maps began to take a life of their own. Each map has its own distinct personality and signature. This was perhaps my most challenging map project since Painted: The Misfit for WoG. My thanks go out to those involved with this series. We hope you enjoy it.
