After several months of semi-official talk, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements is finally announced for the Xbox 360. With the support of Valve and Arkane Studios, Ubisoft Annecy, the studio behind the multiplayer component of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell games, is taking care of the development. The bad news is that the title is now scheduled for a Q1 2008 release, which is much later than the September 2007 date that was displayed by some retailers.

The announcement comes with five new screenshots, one of which is a pretty big spoiler for those who are not familiar with the game's plot twist. But since the storyline is so obvious, perhaps Ubisoft's marketing doesn't try to hide it anymore.
