FiringSquad performed a very thorough performance test with the Dark Messiah demo, using the leading graphic cards on the market. The GeForce 7950 GX2 provided the best results, but at $500 it isn't an option many of us can afford. The Radeon X1950 XTX was a definite winner in the $400-$499 range, just like cheaper ATI cards outperformed their nVidia counterparts. But nVidia remains the best choice if you are going the multi-GPU way. The authors warn us that performance can change once the final game ships. However, if you were planning to buy a new rig to play Dark Messiah, you probably won't find better advices.
