Heroes IV on Tap
- by Angelspit
GameTap is part of Turner Broadcasting System, a Time Warner company, the people behind TNT, TBS and the Cartoon Network. "While we'll launch with 300 games, we will continue to roll games out on the service every week in the same way you'd launch TV episodes or network premieres of movies," told Blake Levin, creator of GameTap, to MTV. While the service offers several recent games such as Ubisoft's Splinter Cell and Beyond Good and Evil, most of the collection is built around old titles, including classics that the younger readers might not be familiar with: Burger Time, Zork, Joust, Bubble Bobble, Golden Axe, Myst, Sonic the HedgeHog, and the list goes on. GameFirst published a review of the service recently.
There are cheaper deals for Heroes IV (try here), but GameTap looks interesting for those who purchase games on a regular basis, and who might like to revisit the games of their childhood.
