Favorite Campaign-Hero

Unread postby Odolwa » 23 Sep 2006, 16:00

As you may have understood, this is an investigation to see which of the main-campaign-heroes is the most popular.
With popular I don't mean popular when it comes to game-mechanics, but rather because of story-reasons.
Please argue why you like the hero you voted for.

My vote goes for Raelag.
He's a very faccinating individual, starting his life as a Dark Elf of the Soulscar Clan, becoming a servant of the Demon Messiah, and later on breaking free of his service and rallying the entire Dark Elven population in order to fight back the Demons.

Markal is also a favorite, mainly because of his sarcastic sense of humour.

A hero I really dislike is Isabel, and I don't think I need do explain why ;)

I'd vote, but there's no 'none' option.

You left out the old man. Anyway, I voted for Findan as I quite like his special ability.

I did that with purpose, only to include the main-heroes of each campaign.

I like Findan best. From a nobody to a hero that saves the country.

I want to vote for Godric, but he is not on the list.

Godric is actually the character that you can bring him through the most levels, giving him the most skills, and also fight him and have him back (plus kill his daughter)!

If it wasn't for the fact that he never mentiolns Freyda after she's been killed, Godric would have been one of two major characters that I think managed to get through the game without being too blatantly stupid or annoying. The other is Zehir, and that's why I voted for him.

Hi guys,it's my first post here! Some might already know me from the temple of Ashan I'm the same Elvin.I guess I'm just another Raelag fan though I prefered him tainted  Decisive, respectful of his enemies with measured aggressiveness.Zehir comes closely second:This guy just thinks and acts too fast while being charismatic. He is the most amusing of the H5 characters I'd say.Btw is it sure Freyda died?I don't recall such a cutscene.Though chances are...
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Which make Aaeglr even more pathetic. :disagree: And someone need to tell Findan he suck at poetry and need to shut up already. Markal too.

Hmm maybe it's the female perspective, but love is never something to put down. His choices may have been ...questionable, but falling in love is not a bad thing in itself. Now if oh Izzy starts taking a rollingpin to him or slapping him arround, well then he'd be wrong to stay, but that is another story :). And izzy was a bit unballanced by loosing her love too, grief can do weird things to people. Anyhow, I like poetry (even bad poetry) so Findan for President!!

Raeleg totally shoulda forgot about this stupid Isabell and discovered Shadya or something, maybe he does eventually i dunno i havent finished the campaign.
Anyway, i found him to have way too much of a japanimation personality. I much prefer Markal's ability to mix sarcasm and pun. And, of course, he ruins Isabell, the stupidest hero of the campaigns.
No i disagree with your female perspective, you can dishonor yourself by those you chose to honor, and if you have no self control over it, then you are emotionally weak, and its a flaw in your personality. Markall would NEVER make this mistake.
