The Photo Thread
excellent if you like the sun, i had some info on it somewhere in a thread, but not sure where
summer lasts about 7 months, maybe more, hits the low 40 degrees celsius on occasion, but generally sits in the mid thirties for weeks at a time over summer, high 20's to mid thirties for spring and autumn and winter is between 18 - 22 degrees during the day and maybe down to 7 - 8 degrees for the average night (can't remember it ever being below 0 degrees here) ....
as for the catch Kalah .... well, it is an "isolated city" the most isolated capital city in the world, but i'm not sure how that matters when about 1.5 million people live in it and the surrounds, and it is seen as a bit casual and laid back by the other capitals in Oz, but the people who live here seem to love it
EDIT: a work colleague just told me that it's 27 degrees outside with not a could in the sky ... IN WINTER!!!! was 10 degrees last night

Don't you just love pollution? It's great for seaweed... just not for your health. I gotta stop going to the sea in this country.stefan.urlus wrote:what's with all the seaweed on the beach??

Please, like over here it doesn't go up to 40 celsius in the summer. Damn global warming. At least you have clean beaches and nice looking, clean cities.

EDIT: it gets to 40 in lots of places, but we do get quite a bit more sunlight than most places so
to celebrate the 1500, i have some more pics of my pool, getting closer to being finished, the sand is in and the paving guy is doing his thing .... should have the pool area paved by the end of the week (will post a pic or two), then next week should see the filter and fence go in, then sometime after that (not too long hopefully) the render and water go in, and finally the heating gets hooked up

Nice... and you'll make a lawn all around it, yes?
I'm not sure I could live in a place where it's never cold.. Sure, it would be great for a couple of years (come to think of it, a friend of mine lived in Perth for a year), but in the end I'd miss the chilling wind of the Arctic.

Perth looks nice, but those temperatures are too much for me. Much like Kalah said, I like my regular doses of cold and winter and snow. Actually, I don't think I could live anywhere else than in my country, for a long period of time.
Oh, and TT, there are vacancies here in Twinbridge If you like skiing, you can come in the winter, there's a new ski resort 2 km from where I live and I hear it's pretty cool. It just opened last year, now they're improving it.

ahhh, but we have cold, it's just that you acclimatise to the heat and then our winter does feel kinda cold, and we have snow, it's just on the east coast (about 3000 km's away)
and kalah, there will be lawn, of course, and some garden beds as well .... be easier to see in the pics with the paving down
