Unread postby JeffWaldoo » 04 Jun 2006, 03:18

I've seen the CPU doing it a lot, he teleports his griffons and sometimes other creatures.

How can i do the same ? i clicked over every little icon in the battle map, it wont work.

Look for the special ability icon on the top left. Only upgraded (Imperial) Griffins can do it.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

If he uses other creatures too, are you sure the hero isn't casting the spell teleport?

Absolutely, im at the start of the game about Map #4 and when i use the auto-combat mode the CPU teleports (unupgraded & upgraded) griffons to strike at the opposing army.

seeing is beleiving i guess

While we're on the subject, how exactly does the war dive work? Theoretically, if a griffon of initiative 15 attacks a stack with an initiative of 7 at the beginning of combat, he should land before the target can get out of the way. Yet my experience is that this isn't the case. Anyone know the mechanics here?

Look at the initiative bar before you battle dive.If the griffons second action is before that creature,he will strike it.

Or normal griffons under the command of the griffon specialist.

maybe the cpu just cast "teleport".

the griffin strikes because your hero has the skill for teleport assault.
and the cpu moves too fast so that you may think that it is one process.

Gaidal Cain is probably right on this issue: there is a Haven (female) Hero whose specialty is to allow regular Griffins to dive as if they were Imperial.
