I don't know why rodril-fixes or mm8.ini has bugs (is your game installed in program files folder by any chance (or its x86 version)? If so, that is probably the cause of bugs, move game folder out of here, to desktop for example), but as it's written in installation instructions, you should install only one branch. So either base (no branch), rodril-fixes or revamp. If you deleted revamp's scripts and put in ones from rodril-fixes, you WILL have bugs further in the game. You should reinstall. I'd also start a new game to be sure.

Okay so my mistake was that indeed i was copying two archives on top of each other. I figured it out. Master is Revamped. Still, this yields a game that crashes on wizards. I was able to kill about 1/3 of the whole bunch, but then again, hang and crash. no error message. This time I am sure I have correctly installed everything:
- copied main archive
- copied media
- deleted scripts
- copied master
- copied main archive
- copied media
- deleted scripts
- copied master

Please provide file "ErrorLog.txt" in main game directory. Are you using windows xp compatibility? 1. Save the current progress
2. Don't exit game, return to the main menu by press ESC key, create a new game and cancel it
3. Return to main menu,load the game saved in step 1
Now open the quest lists and found that all the received quests were gone, could you please help confirm it, thank you.
After applied the master branch archived file (update on 2022-11-18), it's fixed, thank you for your good job.

Map is playable without crashes for me on Windows 10/Debian 11 with Intel or AMD video (hardware acceleration in mm8setup.exe). The problem is because monsters pathfinding (there are too many of them and they block mostly in the passages). If such an error occurs, you have to save and load the game (quick save/quick load), and then the turn-based system is no longer active. MMExtension Ref: "Note: You can't turn a decompiled script back into EVT file, even if it's in text form. In case you do need to edit raw EVT files, you can use my 010Editor Templates."
But that won't help you much because you've started with the wrong question. Barrels and Cauldrons events aren't in map evt files. In Merge look at Scripts/Structs/After/GlobalEventsNewHandler.lua

at first let me thank you for this mod. I've always wanted to have something like this. Especially MM8 is the game that I always come back to.
Anyway..

I am having an issue with spells. I have finished MM8 storyline and during the gameplay, I was not able to buy GM spells for any magic.. Generally, nowhere. Not even with save/load method. The spells are not in magic shops Air/Fire/Earth/Water but only in shops with gems, scrolls, gloves etc. AND only a few GM ones, still repeating, like Lloyd's Beacon, Incinerate, Enslave..
Edit If there is no fix etc., please how can I modify it so it can appear in shops 100% percent? Is there a way?

Sometimes when I enter a location Stone City, the game crashes. Next load is just fine. Not a big issue, but still..

Any idea how to make it possible to respec skill points? I used cheat engine [downloaded from this thread.. a few pages back]. 1 lvl minus, skill points plus. Just simple math. Any other in-game way?

What is the best way to lvl up? And speaking of devil, what is the lvl cap in general? Edit.: For instance.. Can I somehow add number of creatures to the map? Let's say.. Add big amount [40 pcs etc.] of ruby crystal dragons to Regna or to any Dragon Cave so it doesnt mess up with other NPCs?

I DID install the Community branch.
Here is my installation:
1. Deinstall MM8 with the uninstaller.
2. Reinstall MM8 via GoG.
3. Copy Paste the files from the Base Merge Mod into the MM8 File

4. Delete the Script folder.
5. Copy Paste the files from the Community Branch into the MM8 File

After a fresh instalation i now can choose every portrait and every class for every character.
At least in the basic mergemod version.
Sadly if i have the community branch installed as well i cant choose most of the basic classes.
In that case i can choose classes like champion Dark elf patriach great Wyrm etc.
