Wizard hero evolution

H2 Wizard. Starts with Advanced Wisdom and the Stone Skin spell.

H3 Wizard (used for male Alchemists in battle as well)

H4 Mage (female & male). Isn't there already a unit called Mage? Confusing.

A rare instance where 3 looks better than 2.

Sylas from Heroes IV rocks, he's got my vote. Nice mix of red and blue colours and creative animations overall.

Gonna go with the only girl in the lineup … the Heroes IV Mage. Although, I always wondered if she didn't get just a bit cold running around in the snow wearing only that sleeveless dress. Oh well, maybe she has a secret 'warming' spell. :)

This is rare instance where a H3 hero looks good, in fact the best overall.
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

H4 female mage for sure. Just cause I love all the females in H4 - they rock :victory:
Especially Daremyth is cool!

I don't think H3's looks particularly good, but it's better than everything else. My second choice would be H4 male.

I'm sticking to my "H2 unless proven otherwise"-rule. Otherwise not proven this time either :)

H2... not very original, but there's a reason why the "Odin look" has withstood the test of time...

Also, maybe these polls should also include the portrait the hero is based on, coz that was a pretty cool thing H4 did. And H5 kinda tried... i think.

Find them for me and I'll edit my original posts. Already included Mayweda for H4 Sorceress (Warlock)

As for Heroes 1 and 2 ... some are not obvious at all. Barbarian is Thundax, Knight is Sir Gallant... what about the rest?

HoMM III is half decent at last, but not much more than that. Don't really see where all the praise is coming from.

HoMM V is good and very different, but I don't like that it has no neck, apparently. And I don't like how they photoshopped a real person's face (or tried to made it more life-like) into it, or whatever.

HoMM IV female, nice but nothing to write home about.

So for me, it's between HoMM II and IV male, and I'll give it to II. I like my wizards to be elderly with lush white beards. Knowing I grew up with Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings cartoon, you can see why.

H2. Classic!
I maintain nonetheless that yin-yang dualism can be overcome. With sufficient enlightenment we can give substance to any distinction: mind without body, north without south, pleasure without pain. Remember, enlightenment is a function of willpower, not of physical strength.
