Necromancer hero evolution
H2 Necromancer. Starts with Basic Wisdom, Basic Necromancy and the Haste spell.
H3 Necromancer (used for female Death Knights in battle as well)
H4 Necromancer (male & female). Norticus and Baenefa do make such a lovely couple! They look a lot like H3 Liches, but then I guess they had to since the Lich unit was absent.
H5 Necromancer
I have to say, the H5 necro really does look good, especially in comparison to other H5 failures, so it gets my vote.

Please don't post pics from Age of Heores. They are copy-protected and most people can't see theme...
I think thiese two, courtesy of CH avatar gallery, should work:
Anyway, returning to voting:
H2: booooring
H3: Wraith... on a horse? WTF?!
Also, the clothing doesn't look ambitious in H2&3. If necromancers in HoMM weren't so ambitious and power-hungry, this woudn't be a problem.
H4: look like liches, good collors, menacing look...
H5: Cool looking and reminds me of Soul Reapers...man, I like that word!
Can't decide betewen H5 and one of H4's.

I don't get why everone likes that H5 Necromancer - too much green. And H3 isn't bad, except the white horse. H2 is brown, not my favourite colour.
My vote goes to H4 male, for the bony appearance, the black clothes and the shiny armour.

I maintain nonetheless that yin-yang dualism can be overcome. With sufficient enlightenment we can give substance to any distinction: mind without body, north without south, pleasure without pain. Remember, enlightenment is a function of willpower, not of physical strength.

H5 Necromancer for me too. There's just something about the overall picture that suits me. I've never noticed the crow, and it does seem kinda awkward there on the top of the horse's head But it's still my favourite necromancer
This minor magical charm captures the viewer's attention and distra... ooo, pretty...

For me H2 is a winner - for a (evil) horse and dark face with red eyes.
H3 - wrong horse, wrong horse(wo)man
H4- well, they are liches not necromancers and besides theyhaven't horses
H5 - hero is OK (more or less) but he stinks (this green aura) and his horse is a bit too living. If he ride on that kind of horse, then who knows?

How about adding poll option "Hate 'em all"?
(there are two things I don't get: in Heroes III we have a riding wraith as a hero and in Heroes IV we have a hero unit on the battle field. I find them both to be great mistakes)
I reluctantly voted for Heroes IV male Necromancer.

Don't worry if things are going badly today. They will be much worse tomorrow.
H4 male looks like an undead hero/king, the oufit shows power and reminds me of the H3 liches And the H5 looks just what I want for a necro, with a oozy, vile, deathly aura, details like a crow, dangling skulls and a rotten undead horse makes it even better. Oh and the bell! Imagine hearing that one when you travel alone along a dirty road and then...
The rest? Oh victims for the toilet. And the H2 looks like a human with a toasted face
