Warlock hero evolution
The H3 male warlocks use the Overlord sprite when in battle, and it looks too un-warlockish to be even included here, even though there is only one female Warlock in H3 - Sephinroth, the walking Crystal mine.
H1 Warlock. Extra scouting radius.
H2 Warlock. Starts with Basic Wisdom, Advanced Scouting and the Curse spell.
H3 Warlock (used for female Overlords in battle as well)
H4 Sorcerer (male). Scorage pic.
H4 Sorceress (female). Mayweda pic.
H5 Warlock

HoMM I and II are great, but it is the HoMM IV sorcerers that are truly outstanding. What a great hero model. I like both pretty much equally, but let's say I'll vote for the female because of the lovely, medusa-like hair.
HoMM V is okay, and HoMM III...no comment.
P.S.: I don't understand why a hero has to have a horse.

Because I generally don't like my generals walking around with the masses??Metathron wrote: P.S.: I don't understand why a hero has to have a horse.
Lts / Sgts / company commanders ... no horse is fine. An army general though should have some sort of mount or be in a tent ... that's of course just personal preference but it is mine ...

This was the easiest one: H4 Sorcerer (male).
H1/2: Bring back good memories. Very good design with the robe and the beard.
H3: I actually like this one, but not enough to vote for her.
H4 female: If it wasn't for that wig, then, yes.
H4 male: Orange and black look good together, and I love that backflip he does in melee, and the way he kicks when making a ranged attack.
H5: You can't be serious.

I maintain nonetheless that yin-yang dualism can be overcome. With sufficient enlightenment we can give substance to any distinction: mind without body, north without south, pleasure without pain. Remember, enlightenment is a function of willpower, not of physical strength.

H4 Sorceress - for her "hair move"
H4 Sorceror is to "fireball trigger-happy" for me to represent powerful warlock (they are not only master of destruction).
H5 - what is this? - some kind of poor witchdoctor on Grimlock?
H1 and H2 - ok but they lack of "power"
H3 - I never don't like this little red riding hood

H2, no question. Witness the calm look of confidence, the smug knowledge that he can blast you to smithereens just by gently raising his hand if you don't get out of his way. He's how I envision a warlock - he looks like he spends his time in the library, but looks more arrogant than wise.
The H4 and H5 ones just look silly and deranged. The H3 one, while not deranged, looks even sillier. The H1 one looks like a friendly ol' chap, but not a warlock.

After having countless Archers and Paladins being "Warlock bombed" in Heroes 1 by abusive computer players, I can assure you that they don't look friendly anymore...Darmani wrote:The H1 one looks like a friendly ol' chap, but not a warlock.
