Interesting... wimfrits is right... I thought I caught that bid but I never updated. Since the 1650 came after an update, it looks like I have to "unsell" the Crystal Figurine and put it back on the auction block. That also means that Kalah should be at 19470 cash in hand instead 17870, which I believe is slightly more than Tao Jones 18560 cash in hand.

Let the bidding continue... Just remember, there are like 14 lots left!!!


NEW RULE!!!! Anyone who has won a bid in the first five lots will be getting a $5000 bonus!!! The 5000 bonus will be available in lot #4 for anyone who has bought at least one item in the auction!

Everyone involved in the Auction has a current "credit" of 25,000 gold pieces (each) except the auctioneer

Also.... I don’t have time to do an update but here are all of the lot 4 specifics.

Shield, Item, Left Hand, Gives the hero +3 Melee and Ranged Defense.
Horseshoe, Treasure, Miscellaneous, All friendly targets get +1 luck.
War Sling, Treasure, Ranged, Increases the hero's Ranged Attack by 10.
Arrow of Stunning, Treasure, Miscellaneous, The hero's ranged attack has a chance of Stunning the target, depending on the damage done and the toughness of the target.
Giant Slayer, Minor, Right Hand, Increases the hero's Melee Attack and Melee Defense by 3. The hero does double melee damage against level 4 creatures.
Purse of Gold, Treasure, Miscellaneous, Gives +250 gold per day when equipped by a hero.
Staff of Summoning, Major, Two-Handed, Reduces the cost of creature summoning spells by 50% with a minimum cost of 1 point. Uses both the left and right hand slots.
Unnatural Armor, Major, Torso, Increases the hero's Melee and Ranged Defense by 20, and also grants them Nature Ward.
Helm of Command , Major , Head, All friendly targets get +20% to their Melee and Ranged Attack, +20% to their Melee and Ranged Defense, and +1 to their speed.
Ring of Protection, Treasure, Ring, Increases the Melee and Ranged Defense of all friendly targets by 20%.

I wonder, why are you guys bidding so much on items from lot #3? I mean, chainmail sold for 1010 and Longbow for 1000 - how does it compare to Wizard Ring for 200 or Apprentice's Handbook for 500? Scarab of Summoning seems rather expensive, too, as do many others. Are these your real estimates of the things' values or are you just bidding because you've wanted that item in the beginning and now you can't stop despite the price?

I guess ppl are gradually getting a better feel for (amount of resources x amount of bidders) vs available artifacts. First lots bidding are really not representative. But aside from that, some ppl seem to have personal reasons to win an artifact.
And don't forget the effect of the thrill of bidding
Prices don't seem to really give a good picture on real worth though, I agree.

No, it's because of the new rule. If I bid 1010 for the Chainmail and I get it, I've actually made a profit of 3990 (versus the case I don't bid for anything). That's why I don't like the rule.
