I've tested the ability Shield Allies (from Squires) when attacking
a Fortress town. On the first attempt, i put my Squires far away
from my Markmen. Each time a tower hits my Markmen, it kills
5-6 guys. I load the game and put the Squires next to the
Markmen, the towers still killing 5-6 Markmen every time its
turn comes up. So Shield Allies is not supposed to work against
towers or it's a bug?
I also have another question about Squires: if i put 2 stack of
Squires next to each other, would it means they both get 100%
reduction from non magical missles? (Large Shield + Shield Allies).
Has anyone tested this?
Shield Allies ability broken?

well if they discribeded all of the games concept, skills, creatures, heroes etc, it should not be so hard to discribe all that abbilites that are little tricky, how much really can help the Squires shield?

Ye, i guess you're right. I've also tested Deflect Missle at Expert level on Footman/Squire, it doesn't give them 120% damage reduction from physical missle lol. Oh well, time to try to get Sylvan's ultimate with gamehack haha. You just see how it goes ingame In some cases as with the ignite ability the description is very vague so unless you try it yourself you may misunderstand things.

You thought they were going to gain hit points?andy0682 wrote: Ye, i guess you're right. I've also tested Deflect Missle at Expert level on Footman/Squire, it doesn't give them 120% damage reduction from physical missle lol.
Actually I'd be interested in the specific damage numbers before and after the spell was cast. I'm too lazy to test right now but next time I'm playing I'll look for it.
In the campaign one of the secondary ranger heroes in the final missions has ultimate luck.
If effects would stack then a simple additive type of effect would not be appropriate.
IMHO you'd need to multiply the protection percentages to get what you're looking for.
For example two 50% protection effects would give you 75% protection [if they stack]. Two 50% and one 20% should give you 80% protection. [If they were to stack]
