After 18 increasingly worse seasons of the Simpsons, I suppose it's not really unexpected that other shows would use the same jokes. There's only so much out there after all.

Actually I'm fairly tired of both Family Guy and the Simpsons. The older episodes of both shows were great, but the new stuff is mediocre at best.

And you sir, are no X-Men: Legends 2 Apocalpyse.

I guess you're right. I would be way more fun eating it while it's still alive.

Family Guy was never really that funny to me. Agree about the Simpsons though.

Then I shall be your undoing.

As to the Simpsons, I think the show's apex was the 8th or 9th season. The show jumped the shark when it kept having celebrity after celebrity on. It also didn't help they made Homer a total idiot at that point.

As to Family Guy, the early stuff was really funny in an immature way. Now it's hard to laugh at something making fun of women with postpartum depression.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Agreed. The later episodes are rarely as good as the earlier. I think what happend with the Simpsons is that as soon as they realized FOX couldn't afford to lose them, the quality dropped because there wasn't as much pressure.
