Heroes games.

Hint 1: It's related either to heroes or units, but just one of those fulfill all the riddles.

Hint 2: That's something that's seen in all Heroes games. It's not a spell.

Hint 3: For hint 1, it's related to units.

Ahm.... :tired: . Strange, I'm somewhat sleepy.

Edit: another hint, shall I?

Hint 4: Related to movement and position.

Now it has gotten pretty easy. ;)

Town Portal Spell?

I already guessed Town Portal and it was wrong. Also, Panda said it isn't a spell.

None of the guesses above. It's not Creature's speed, but a close issue, yes. ;) It's not Turns/Initiative system because it's not only one thing. It's not Boots of Speed because it's an artifact that is not found in all Heroes games. ;)

Summary:
'm needed for reaching
I'm needed for seeking
I'm needed for defending
I'm needed for attacking

Hint 2: That's something that's seen in all Heroes games. It's not a spell.
Hint 3: For hint 1, it's related to units.
Hint 4: Related to movement and position.
Hint 5: There's a spell, in some (probably two or three) of the Heroes games, that causes that effect, although that's not a spell we are talking about.

Think I should come with another and last hint for this riddle?

Hint 6: It's an ability.
Guess, now! :D

I think you guessed right, fate. When Panda returns we'll know for sure but your answer seems to fit the riddle and all the hints. I would be surprised if your guess wasn't right. Where is that Panda??!?? Probably lurking around in his bamboo forest, taking a nap and thinking up more difficult riddles to stump us. :-D

I think tactics is better than my guess, but it was the only other thing I could think of and wanted to get it down in case winter is wrong :)

It's not tactics. Although it seems similar. And no for Pathfinding. I don't recall tactics in Heroes 2, for instance. :D

As I said previously, and summarizing it, we have: IT'S A CREATURE ABILITY, THAT YOU MAY FIND IN ALL HEROES SERIES, WHAT A CREATURE CAN DO. BESIDES, WE MUST REMEMBER THAT IN HEROES 2 AND 1, AND IN 3 TOO, CREATURES ABILITIES WEREN'T SHOWN OR DESCRIBED, AND THAT ABILITY COULD BE TOLD JUST BY SEEING. IN HEROES 4 AND 5, IT STARTED TO BE DISPLAYED AS WELL. :-D One of you guessed it indirectly (a last-last hint).

Is it flight?

I haven't played H1 or 2, so I don't know if there are flying creatures in those.

@William: Flight has been in every game since King's Bounty (the game some call HOMM 0 for it's inspiration to the series).

You may have gotten it right William!

:applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

And finally, the winner! The answer is surely flight or the flying ability.

Let's see the riddle again, shall we? :)
I'm needed for reaching
I'm needed for seeking
I'm needed for defending
I'm needed for attacking
Self-explanatory. :D

I used to go all the way in one step, - In Heroes 1 and 2, flying creatures could attack all the battlefield in a single movement, anywhere they wanted. Just their speed would tell if they would attack sooner or later.
but evolution makes me fall back - In Heroes 3 and on, they started being unable to cross all the battlefield unless their speed was too high or either for their movement.
If you're in a hurry to find your destiny,
I might be able to let you attack. - So, based on the second line, these two lines consider that, if you cast Haste Spell or anything similar (so you're in a hurry), it could enable your creature to reach their enemy for an attack. ;)

This was my best riddle. :proud: Congratulations, Sir William S Titan. :D

So, who's next. :)

Shouldn't be too hard. But it may be. We'll see.

I brought along a nightlight
But, still, they run and hide
Except those of my kind
Hey, it's a matter of pride

Edit: Oh yeah. H4, at least. I can't remember if others have this.
